Washing powder — hard dusting toxic household chemical. For its packing it is necessary to use equipment, which prevents the spraying — i.e. penetration of the powder into the respiratory human organs, what is dangerous for health. Selected packaging for washing powder should be as attractive as possible for the consumer. The most common types of packaging for washing powder are bags, made of polymer films, corrugated boxes (cardboard boxes) and ready-made plastic containers. Type of packaging for washing powder the manufacturer chooses based on the price category of the product: for more expensive washing powder is suitable corrugated box or a plastic packaging, for powder with lower price will be enough a polypropylene bag with a flat bottom.

EQUIPMENT FOR PACKAGING OF WASHING POWDER
For packing of washing powder is used a complex of equipment, including screw doser and packaging machine. In the complex there must be a system of dust extraction and dust protection of mechanical elements. The presence of these elements reduces the risk of toxic poisoning of workers during working process of packing of washing powder and protects the equipment from premature release out of action.
With the help of cardboard packaging machine washing powder is packaged in cardboard boxes (corrugated box) with net weight of 400 — 500 grams. This is the easiest, but not the cheapest way to pack. To pack washing powders into bags, made of polymer films are much more profitable. On vertical packaging machines manufacturer can pack washing powder in a three-seam bags with a flat bottom (gasset), with a special finger holes on the top of the bag or without them. Such bags can hold up to 10 kg of product.

Easy to manufacture: gasset bags is made faster, easier and cheaper, than other type of package for washing powder;
Low cost of packaging: production of polymer bags is less expensive, than the manufacture of cardboard boxes and plastic container. The film bag has minimal effect on the final cost of packaged washing powder.

Practicality: finished packaging is the most convenient packaging for long-term storage and re- usage of washing powder;
